Kathy, I'm 22 years old and have had CIN 3 and also the Leep. I know what you are going through with this. I have had a few colposcopies and biopsies with 2 of them. I would suggest to go ahead and get the colposcopy. It's a painless procedure unless they take biopsies. Even with the biopsies there is little pain. Colposcopy is a better way to spot the abnormal tissues and let you know if the tissue is normal. I believe that doing another papsmear instead of the colposcopy may just be prolonging the colpo. If they give you another pap and still find abnormal cells they are still going to want to do the colposcopy. I'm wishing you the best and just wanted you to know that more than likely they will insist on the colposcopy anyways. I hope that everything goes well for you.
