cervical dysplasiaFrom: Kathy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 25 Jul 2001 15:42:33 -0500 (CDT)
I had a leep procedure done 3 months ago for high grade abnormal tissue removal. The doctor informed me later the procedure went well and all abnormal tissue was removed. I went back recently (3 months after the procedure) for a pap test. The test came back with an atypical cell finding. My doctor notified me to come in for another colopscopy. It is to my understanding that at certain times in the month women will have atypical cells and this is normal. I also was tested for HPV and do not have it. Is it necessary to have a colposcopy or would another pap be sufficient?
