My doctor recently prescribed birth control pills to help regulate my abnormal period and to use as a contraceptive. My doctor prescribed Mircette, and I'd like to know if I can begin taking them now in order to allieviate my mentrual problems. I have not taken any of the pills yet, because I am unsure of when to start taking them. I got my period about a week and a half ago and the bleeding has since stopped. Do I need to wait until my period starts again, or can I begin taking the pills any time during the month - namely now?
