Re: vaginal drynessFrom: Harvey S. Marchbein, M.D. (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 19 Jul 2001 17:07:26 -0500 (CDT)
This may be with all pills or it may be a "learned response" meaning you may have had some dryness with OrthTricyclen and your brain expected pain and dryness in the future so lubrication became nil becuase your subconscious was expecting pain. Kind of like if you meet someone and they punch you in the face a few times. the next time you meet, if they raise their hand, you're going to flinch. Right now you need an understanding boyfriendwho realizes how you feel and not that your dryness is an extension of that. If he doesn't get it, he's too young to have sex. Sex is both a pleasure with and a responsibility to the other person. Over time, with an understanding partner, I think the lubrication will return. If it doesn't come back in a few weeks of compassionate effort, the pill may not be for you. Hope this helps and write back anytime for more information. HSM
