Chronic pelvic pain and PCOS.From: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 15 Jul 2001 02:41:51 -0500 (CDT)
I am 17 years old and I have currently been suffering with chronic pelvic pain for the last 18 months, and I don't know what is causing it. In July `00, I had a laparoscopy which revealed that I had Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, but I was told that it couldn't be causing my pelvic pain. No other investigations were done, but I was referred to a pain clinic, and I was told that they don't deal with pelvic pain, and now I am desperate for some help. Can anybody tell me for certain if PCOS can/does cause pelvic pain, if so, what treatment? Or what else could be causing my pain? I just want to be able to live a relatively normal life. I will accept help from anybody. Amy.
