All tests NEGATIVE, yet pain and irritation persistsFrom: Malaika (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 2 Jul 2001 10:30:47 -0500 (CDT)
I am 17, 5'7, 140 lbs history of normal menstruation cycles(light cramping and bleeding for 5 days) I got married in Dec 2000, was not previously sexually active. Always used condoms until April 2001 when condoms were not used. A week after the intercourse without condoms I began displaying symptoms of a UTI (burning with urniation, loss of bladder control, constant need to urinate) I had a UA within the week, results negative. A week later I had spotting and immediately got a pregnancy test, negative. I started BCPs with the spotting and continued to have symptoms of highly painful urination, abdominal pain and a very fouly odored discharge. though I was in a monogomous relationship with no sexual history I was tested for gonoreaha, clemedia, hepatitis, AIDS, yeast infections and had another test for a UTI ALL NEGATIVE. I have been using BCP's for 3 months and each month my cycle comes about 5 days (blue pills) before I get to the green "no-hormone" pills and continues anywhere from 10-16 days with extremly painful cramping which lasts the entire period. It still hurts when I pee and I have to pee all the time...the discharge is still sometimes smelly. My husband also complans that after ejaculation the skin of his penis burns all around it (not on the tip) from contact with his semen and my discharge unless he washes it off. Is there such thing as acid in the semen or something that my husband should be tested for? (he has been tested for STD's as well--negative) If not, have you ever heard of some strange disease I might have or is my gynecologist right? Do you think this could lead to infertility?
