15 yr old girl w/ lump in breastFrom: Anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 20 Jun 2001 20:54:00 -0500
i am 15 years old and today i discovered a small, hard lump underneath my left nipple. i knew that cancer was hard and difficult to move, so i pressed on it to see how hard it was. then it popped, like a pimple would -- except there was no exit, the whole thing was underground. i felt a sharp pain and even something like internal leaking of whatever was in this lump. i understand this could be a cyst, but is that normal in someone of my age? i am pretty normal as far as puberty goes, i have been menstruating for two years and have had no problems with my breasts until now. i'm not really scared, but i am curious to know if this was a one-time thing (a boil or something) or if this is a sign of cystic disease. any information you have would be greatly appreciated. thanks, healthy 15 yr old girl ( i mean woman...haha )
