For the past 5 to 6 years, my periods have become increasingly painful. I also experience severe bloating and stomach distention at various times of the month. My gynecologist does not seem to find anything unusual in the symptoms. I have been on and off the pill, and it does not alleviate any of this. Last month I was late and tested positive on two hpt's. A few days later I was at the doctor's office with severe cramping and bleeding. The doctors do not think I was pregnant according to uring and blood tests that they took. They did not find anything unusual on an ultrasound. I am wondering if my symptoms could indicate endometriosis and, if so, whether an ultrasound would detect this. I am 28 years old and would like to start a family. I am very worried, though that the pain I experience every month is not usual and could eventually impede my fertility.
