If the medication you are using doesn't help the pain, a variety of birth control pills may do the job. the mini pill is specifically progesterone so I don't know if that is what you meant. If nothing else works, a D&C is not always the best choice. Your cervix can be dilated in the office under local anesthetic if that's what your doctor thinks is best.
