Ever since I can remember when I started my menstrual cycle, I have always had irregular very heavy flows that would last at least 2 weeks. I would have to wear both forms of protection to avoid unwanted accidents. Once I had my first child my periods became regular and normal for the first time. The same situation followed when I had my second child. Now, after my third child my periods are back to the same old nuisance it was before. Now I am also experiencing spotting or a light flow in between periods.
