problems TTC

I conceived my first child ( with my ex-husband)after being off my pills for one cycle. Now my fiance and I are TTC. I have not taken a pill since the first of the year. My cycle has been very odd since then: Jan 29-Feb 3 March 11-March 17 April 8- April 29 And this cycle started May 24 Up until I stopped my pills this time I have always had a perfect 28 day cycle, even way back before I started using any form of birth control. After my daughter was born (t32 months ago)I was on Depo for a year and a half and went off it after having my period after 94 days straight, but I went directly onto Ortho-Tricyclen, which put my cycle right back to normal. But now my cycle is unpredictable since I stopped Jan 1st. Could this be a result of the different forms of birth control? I'm just curious why we are having such a hard time TTC when it was so quick the first time. I know that it isn't always that quick, but I can't help but wonder if my odd cycles are a sign of something that could be the problem. My new doc said my old doc was crazy for letting me go on the Depo, and that it messes up the female cycle for a long time. Is my new doc exaggerating or is that what's causing my unusual cycle and problems TTC?
