I'm sure you've brought all of these arguments up, but just in case: I'd think that this is pretty much the equivalent of rape - not that you physically hurt somebody by it, of course, but you take something very personal that they are not willing to give. Also, how would the child feel if the truth came out (and it always does)? "Your daddy didn't want you, but I didn't give a damn about his feelings, and trapped him into years of (potentially) unhappy marriage/child support/worries/responsibilities/resentment." Yeah, excellent way to start a legacy of love and caring.
