Kelly Shanahan, MD, : "Re: Two Questions Please" My period has been somewhat regular. I am taking a RX for lodine to help relieve severe cramping. The last couple of months I have noticed a change in my bowel habits I get constipated a week or two prior and then I feel like I have diarrhea when my cycle or flow starts is this normal? Also I started using tampons and I have noticed that two or three days after my cycle or flow starts that it is very painful to insert a tampon in almost as if I was dry, so I resort back to is there anything I can do for this?
