I have searched the web, and have been unable to find resources on the risks and side-effects of orthotrycyclen. I have been taking it since last September, and about 2 months ago, developed serious inflammatory problems (i.e. swelling and pain in multiple joints, erythema nodosum, etc.) My doctors prescribed a multitude of tests, and drugs, but found nothing. Last week I decided to stop the orthotrycyclen against medical advice (doctors kept saying it couldn't be the cause) and suddenly this week, I am feeling better for the first time in months. I have gone off of all the pain medication and can now see the bones in my ankles again! I really want to find more information to see if this has happened to anyone else, and if this was ever listed as a potential side-effects of orthotrycyclen. I couldn't find a website.
