Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: brown discharge problem" I am concerned, can anyone help me?? Recently, a brown substance has been discharging from my vagina. I am 18 years old and not sexually active (never have been). I am thinking it is bacterial, as I have lived for the past 9 months in a dorm at college. I had a bacterial discharge problem before, but that was a white substance and yeast related. I should probably go to an ob-gyn about this, but I would kindly ask for an expert opinion beforehand.
