I have this!! but on both sides and up above my cervical hood. Still do. I always thought that they looked sorta like the bumps on uncooked chicken skin. I've always had them, and I got my doctor to check it out and she gave me a clear bill of health. Once in a blue moon, one becomes inflammed (sort of like a cold sore, but not as itchy or painful) and then it just goes back to normal. Where you only have them on one side, it might be a good idea to get it checked out, but just bring it up at a visit as a sidenote to something else, not the main issue.
