Question about Clomid, Bleeding and PregnancyFrom: Sushmita (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 21 May 2001 12:26:15 -0500 (CDT)
Hi: I am 25 yrs old and have been married for a year now.I always had irregilar periods -Maybe once in 2 months. All of a sudden I stopped having periods for about 5 months.So I went to my OBGYN and she started me on Provera to induce my periods and said that it may kick start the system. My periods came and then I waited for a month for the next one to come.When it did not turn up, my doc put me on another dose and said that I can start taking clomid on days 5 to 9 after my period starts. I maintained a BBT to see if i ovulated at her suggestion. I did ovulate (first time of BBT) but I know for sure since my periods came after 30 days of the initial flow. But since I failed to get pregnant then my doc increased med of clomid to 100mg per day. My question is why..?? And I have gone 3 cycles on clomid (1 50mg and 2 100mg) and I have had brown discharge after the 100mg ones. Could I have a cyst. I have not gone thru sonograms or anything yet. Is it safe to continue clomid (100 or 50 mg's)..??Sorry for the long posting but I wanted to post all the info I had. Any advice would be appreciated. -Sushmita
