Amenorrhea

I am 28 years old, and have had only two very light periods within the past seven months. I do have a thyroid deficiency, but it has been regulated. I have had several bloodtests (prolactin, thyroid, pregnancy etc) with no answers - "everything seems normal" I am told. Why have I not had my period then? I have been off the pill for almost a year, and have had three pregnancy tests all of which were negative. I have been given a two week prescription for estrogen, and it's making me feel absolutely crazy - but still no period. I could stand to lose a few pounds, but I am not obese, and am cetainly not anorexic. I am worried that this will affect my ability to have children. One family member is even suggesting that I'm experiencing an early menopause. Three doctors have given me no answers - needless to say I am very concerned, and very furustrated. Any suggestions that I could check into would be greatly appreciated.
