Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: No period for 5 months" Hi, I have missed my period for 5 months now and I am having lower back pain, pain in my legs and lower abdominal pain. I went to my Gyno and he gave me Provera 10mg to take for 10 days. Well, I wanted to know what was wrong, he seemed too busy, said if I don't start my period shortly after taking the Provera that I could be in Premature Menopause. Is that possible?
