Hi. I went to my PCP on Wednesday and got a pap smear. She told me I have a condition called pelvic erosion. She set up an appointment with a gynecologist but I wont be seeing her for 2 weeks. She couldn't tell me causes or more description other than the endometrium has eroded past its normal position. I only have one partner, I am married and am on the pill. Am I o.k.?? Everything I've searched on the internet hasn't helped, the only thing I found that sounds kinda like what she explained is cervical erosion. The site about cervical erosion said to practice safer sex. I thought I am as safe as it gets...on the pill, one partner, married, what else should I do? Could tampon use cause this condition? Should I refrain from intercourse or tampon use until I see the Gynecologist? They scheduled me for a time when my period will be occuring, will that interfere with her examination, or should I set up a different appointment? What can you tell me?
