vaginal and yeast infectionsFrom: dez (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 26 Apr 2001 14:02:59 -0500 (CDT)
i have a question about when a dr. describes a problem as chronic. my story is that in february i was diagnosed with genital warts and was also given metrondiazole (500mg orally) and d diflucans. end of february i was given terazol 7me clindamycin (150 mg 3x a day for 7 and 2 diflucans for a yeast infection(cream). then in early april i went back and had a vaginal and yeast infection. i was given clindamycin (150 mg 3x a day for 7 and once a gain 2 doeses of diflucan. then yestreyai went back the doc said i had a yeast infection but she gave me metrondiazole gel and 2 doese of diflucan. i'm wondering what is wrong with me. all of a sudden i'm having these reocurring infections everymonth what can this be a warning sign of? also do these reoccurrances mean that the medications aren't strong enough? what is the likely cause of getting both of these infections at the same time. and y don't i get an odor with the vaginal infections is n' that a must? i mean i keep myself clean but should i satrt using something like summers eve or would that cause more irritation. one more question can having sex cause a yeast infection to occur? please answer as many questions possible, they are all imporatnt to me. thank you for your time.
