Re: pre-ejaculation fluidFrom: Anna (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 19 Apr 2001 12:51:55 -0500 (CDT)
Robbi, men don't produce one "dose" of pre-ejaculate and then nothing until they ejaculate. They produce this stuff continuously, from the moment of arousal to the end. And all of it can contain sperm. Withdrawal is extremely unreliable as birth control. Men CAN'T always tell when they are about to come (and even that might be too late, see above), and even if they are very in tune with their bodies, it is not at all a fun thing, and you WILL be tempted to just go for it, just once, and then ... oh well. Saliva doesn't protect you from HIV, gonorrhoe, syphilis, genital warts, herpes, chlamydia, HPV. (Oh the fun you can have with syphilis and warts in your throat). So DON'T trust your guy, don't trust old wives tales, don't gamble with your health and your future - use protection. Use condoms, all the time.
