Re: In College & Scared of Gall surgery/~Went to see a GI &..2/2From: Dianne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 10 Apr 2001 16:38:46 -0500 (CDT)
<cont> He also gave me some awesome news! Hep-A antibodies are no longer in my bloodstream according to the last set of hemotology I had which the hospital faxed him before-hand. And accordign to triglyceride and SGOT readings, my liver is really none the worse for the wear plus I don't have to worry about possibly infecting someone during intercourse which is a huge relief for hopefully a long lifetime to come. The doc finished off by letting me know that he'd meet me in front of the hospital and prescribed a single dose of diazepam to take the night before I have to go in to get a good night's rest because he's never seen. My dad was going to fly out to stay with me but thats not necessary. I'm going to wrap up my courses at the end of the week and resume in the autumn semester. I have to start eating regularly and he prescribed a scrict diet to keep while I wait. He said "you'll still get to be prom queen, except you'll have no pain" I wish all doctors were like this guy, we just kind of clicked and I feel very comfortable asking him just about anything. So as they say on campus, things are FIVE by FIVE!! (Meaning, the outlook is so bright I have to wear shades :P) I'm psyched to have this done and finally feel completely over my fear. I go back for one more visit to get a permanent date. <cont ran out of space again>
