Re: In College & Scared of Gall surgery

I had my surgery on a Tuesday, went home on that Saturday, I was driving by the end of the first week at home, and back to work in 3 weeks. Most of the time recovery is 4-6 weeks. As for the exposure to Hep A I do not know of that being a reason for an open procedure. I really had no problems afterwards. I was told there were about 100 tiny stones in my gallbladder! I think you will do great, also summer break is soon, it would be a good time to schedule it then. The only real function of the gallbladder is to store bile, so no you will not need any supplements
