Re: In College & Scared of Gall surgery

Gallbladder surgery has come a long way in the last 10 years. Most cases are done by laprascope. The patient usually goes home in a day or so after it, recovery is shor, 1-2 weeks, and most people do very well. I had to have my gallbladder out when my first daughter was 5 weeks old (this was 1989) and so at that time it required the old fashioned big incision, 4 days in hopsital, etc.
