Severe pelvic pain, missed period, bloating, headaches and nausea. From: Bert (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 1 Apr 2001 20:27:22 +1000
Hi. I'm 20 years old, and have had severe pelvic pain in the left side near my ovaries, sometimes on the right side for 2-3 months. It's so bad sometimes that I can't walk for long distances. I feel like my whole body is about to give up on me and I'm about to collapse. I have not had intercourse except for oral sex once, I was almost dry reaching, earlier that night I had a few cocktails took Ranitidine, Ogen and Provera. I was told 1 1/2 years ago that I have a Pituitry problem so I am taking Provera and Ogen and I was told the only way I could fall pregnant is with FSH injections. My GP asked me if I wanted a pregnancy test to rule it out I thought this was pointless but ended up doing a home pregnancy test anyway and of course it was negative. I've had severe bloating for about 3 months night/day, cramps, headaches nausea and have been taking Provera & Ogen for about a 1 1/2 years. I stopped taking the prescriptions due to receiving all the side effects. I then missed my next period and am still waiting. I'm sick of not being able to eat, smell, or look of food without be nauseated and I keep gaining and losing weight. I'm scared of a misdiagnosis and have to wait to see gyn. I've had MRI, Ultrasound, Blood Tests, all negative. I'm scared that I've got endometriosis or ovarian cancer. I don't know anyone my age with the same symptoms. What is it and what should I do? Should I be worried? Are there any tests I should have?
