i wrote an email a couple of days ago looking for the answer to specific questions, but may not have been clear enough.my questions are: if a doctor proceeds take a biopsy from you (cervi) after viewing with a colposcopy, does that mean that they found evidence of abnormalities? if so when the test came back. what does it mean if the doctor wants you to come back in 3 months? does that mean there are no abnormalities found? my doctoor wants me to coem back for a pap on 3 months. the results of my biopsy said that there were no warts present on my cervix. why did the doctor take the samples in the first place then? i asked if they saw ASCUS and the receptionist said , mabe a case of cervicitis? what did she mean by that. what i cervicitis and would it have been the cause of my abnormal pap and does it get treated.also i had genital warts. they said that there was no sign of HPV on my cervix does that mean i don't have HPV? i've had the warts which is a symptom of HPV and when i asked what type of HPV i found the said i didn't have HPV,that the pap showed evidence of it only and that the biopsy disproved it, how can that be right.? one more question, is the HPV that cases warts more likely top cause cervical cancer or not, because the internet is filled with conflicting answers.
