Questions about genital wart, HPV,Abnormal pap...the connectionFrom: dez (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 21 Mar 2001 20:38:01 -0600 (CST)
hi, my doctor identified a bump as a genital wart.she wrote HPV on my chart. the next week it was burned of, two weeks later i have a pap. then three days later i had what turned out to be a yeast infection. a week later my pap came back abnormal. the recptioist said that it showed mild dysplasia and the doctor wanted to preform a biopsy w coploscopy. she took 5 samples.i asked the doctor what exacty she was trying to confirm, she said soemthing about warts on the cervix or mild dyspalsia . today (2weeks later) i called for the results. the receptionist said that the doctor wanted me to come back in 3 months for a pap because the test showed no warts on the cervix. i told her that i wanted to know what type of HPV i had and she said that the test is sayin i don't have HPV. i told her that i had warts and she said that genital warts and HPV are two different things. can u have genital warts without having HPV?why did the doctor perform the biopsy if nothing was present on my cervix ( i thought they know what sample to take by spraying the cervix with vinegar and taking the ones that turn white are warts on the cervix equivalent to mild dysplasia?)can i still get mild dysplasia (whatever that is) why do they want me to come back in three months for a pap. where do u think i stand in all of this. can you infect your self with your own wart).what are the connections between these things? can any of these ? be answered thoroughly.
