Twice Monthly periodsFrom: Marina (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 20 Mar 2001 06:43:06 -0600 (CST)
I have been having 2 peiods monthly since August 2000. Although I have brought this to the attention of my Internal medicine doctor, she does not seem concerned. I have horrible cramping the first three days and use Lodine which helps a great deal. Both periods are heavy and include tremendous breast pain and swelling. It is very hard to plan any type of activity around such irregular periods and very disturbing when i have to tell my husband- I've started again! It is usually every 12-14 days that i start. I have not been on any birth control for 4 years- my husband had a vasectomy. Should I be unconcerned like my doctor? I feel like crap physically and very cranky mentally- it is bad enough having one period a month much less two times a month- I feel like i am PMS-ing all month!! Thank you for your input.
