Pregnacy After Tubal Ligation - What Should I do?From: K. (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 17 Mar 2001 09:09:31 -0600 (CST)
I am a 35 year old mother who has had multiple problem pregnacies, after the birth of my 2nd child. I had injury to my uterus, and at this time the doctors told me that I would no longer be able to bear children. My uterus was torn during that second pregnacy and was irrepairable surgically. I did become pregnant again 6 years later, of which the doctor told me that I would probably lose this child. This didn't happen, I carried 9 months and after that I had a tubal ligation performed. However, my doctor did not practice burning the ends so my tubes are just tied. My third child is 5 years old and since I've given birth to her, my cycles have always been on time and the latest may have been 1 or two days. I am ten days late and I have pregnacy symptoms. My breast are very sore, I am extremely tired and I'm a little worried, because if I am pregnant, it is very possible that it's in my tubes and I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?
