i have a question about the lateness of my period. i am 19 years old, and a dance performance major, so i am very active. i have always been very regular (27-29 days), but this month, i am going on day number 4 of being late after 28 days of my last period, and i am not on any sort of birth control. my partner and i do not have intercourse. however, when we engage in any activity of that nature and he comes, he is always covered up (like into a heavy towel or in the shower) and everything gets cleaned up before we proceed. and i always make sure that my genital area is clear away from any of that, clothed or not. so i don't think that pregnancy is causing my lateness. however, i do lead a stressful life. my courses are on overload and i work 7 days a week. so this might be attributed to stress, because i know that that can cause lateness. but the thing is: i am always under this sort of stress, so why should this month be any different? i have an appointment with my doctor when i go home in a week and a half, but i was wondering if anyone could help with a word or two out here. i have the symptoms that i usually get when i have my period: loss of appetite, achy joints, a bit of cramping, very moody. but no period. and its lateness is becoming a stress in itself. if anyone has a word of advice on what could be causing the lateness, i would really appreciate it. thanks.
