Wedding Night ApprehensionFrom: Anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 12 Mar 2001 22:44:07 -0600 (CST)
I am engaged to be married this summer. Both my fiance' and I are virgins. I know that nothing has ever penetrated her, neither finger, tampon, or other. She has voiced concern to me that she is afraid that she will be too small for me on the night after our wedding. I have never 'measured' myself, but don't feel that I am abnormally large. She has small ear canals (that required tubes) and a small mouth (that required a palate spreared), and said of her last Gyn visit that the specula "hurt," and that she was told, or read, that it was not supposed to. How possible is it that she will be too small for me, or I too large for her? Is this something that a Gyn should have informed her of at her last visit? Is a small vagina something that the doctor would notice and remark: "You should know that you have a small vagina, you will need to do ___ whenever you are ready to have sex." If she went to the Gyn and asked, could she tell, quantitatively, if she had a small vagina or not? What can be done if this is the case, and what can I do if we get to that night and it seems too small. Please advise, I wouldn't know what to do if I hurt her. Thank You, VirginGroom
