First time to OBGYN and first time on the Pill

Hi! I wanted to post because I am trying to figure out the pluses to taking birth control pills. All I read are complaints from women saying they are losing hair, having headaches, etc. I just started taking them Sunday (three days ago) and have had a migrane ever since. I took one lady's advice and took mine at night. Well, this doesn't help. I have a CONSTANT migrane. I am a non smoker and never have had a major headache, only minor sinus headaches. I talked to a nurse earlier and she said they might want me to ride it out. I don't think I can have it interrupt my life this way for 90 days. I am a teacher; therefore, I have got to be alert and in good health. Headaches CANNOT be a part of my day. I guess my question is why even take the pills if it is going to cause such headaches (forgive the pun)? I think I will take two days of crying and being curled up in the feteal position crying with huge clots (sorry) over a migrane everyday. I am in desperate need of advice from women on any type but esp. Alesse. I heard Alesse has the mildest and fewest number of side effects. Is this true? I just am not convinced this is what I should be doing. Thanks in advance for your responses and have a great day! I know I will tomorrow b/c I am not taking my pill tonight!
