Deep penetration can hurt, though actual damage would be very unusual. You should have an exam by a doctor to determine if there is a problem. Most likely there is not, but it is best to be safe. Once you are sure that there is not a physical problem, that the pain is just from the guy being too deep, then you can try to control the depth of penetration. Enlist the cooperation of your partner for starters. Some sexual positions, such as woman on top, give the woman more control over the process.
