I just stopped taking ortho because of the exact reasons you listed.  I have had 7 cysts and the worst depression of my life.  I had alot of pain during sex also because of the cysts.  I might ask your obgyn if you could switch pills. I know how you feel and I can tell you after i stopped taking ortho the change was like night and day.  I too am 22 and at our age its not healthy to be depressed like that or to endure that pain.  Good luck
