7/99 i got married & started orthotrycyclen. 3 mo. later, i was depressed, having constant uti's, nauseaus, heavier periods, and lots of abdominal pain. gyn found 1cyst on each ovary & switched me to orthocyclen, skipping the placebos. the cysts continued to grow,not shrinking at anytime of the month. also, lining of ovary was thickened in places. had laparascopy to correct this and cysts removed. they were begnin. gyn put me back on orthotrycyclen and zoloft 50 mg &told me i was fine. 10/00 i woke up in excruciating pain, went to er and was diagnosed w/3 cm cyst on r ovary & really bad uti. by 12/00 the cysts was 6 cm. no concern from doctor but i had a constant yeast infection &uti and constant pain. then the cyst burst. i was fine for 3 wks. and then they found a 2 cm cyst on my right ovary. gyn switched me to lo/ovril and told me not to worry about it and follow up in 3 monhts. i am almost done w/1st pack of lo/ovril and sex drive has dimished, just as much pain, nausea, moodiness, exhaustion. and no relief from yeast inf or uti's. HELP!!! prior to go on bc in 7/99 i had never had one female problem, not even a yeast infection. i am only 22 and i would to find someway to resolve this so i can go on enjoying life.
