I'm confused!?From: SAulds (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 16 Feb 2001 17:58:53 -0600 (CST)
I am confused on something. My periods are usually like clockwork, right on time and lasting 4-5 days. This month my period was five days late and when it did come it lasted only a day. I went to my gyn. because of this and also that I was having some lower abdominal pain in the left side. He did a pregnancy test which came back negative. He also ordered a transvaginal ultrasound which came back normal. The blood work they did showed normal levels of hormones, but it did show that my setiment (?) level was high. The nurse explained that that meant I had an infection somewhere in my body. The dr. didn't find any evidence of an infection when doing a pelvic exam. Now, my question is, how will they find where the infection is it's not in my pelvic area and is there any other reason the setiment level would show high? Im confused.
