I don't think it is worth getting sick just to skip a period though. The OCP can sometimes keep a period from coming if you take it without taking the placebos. When you first start them, it can cause breakthrough bleeding, so you may still bleed, which is what you are trying to avoid. Unfortunately, other than that, I don't know of any other way...
