Hi Susan,

Your daughter is pretty lucky to have a normal cycle after just starting! I never experienced that and I am 34! I've had my period for about 20 years (gosh, I just made myself feel really old!)!

Being sick can affect they cycle. What I have seen from the docs on the site is one cycle doesn't really give cause for concern, but if it continues after three, then have it checked out. Even though she has been regular, she did just start her periods, so there may still be room for irregularity.

I hope your daughter feels better from the flu (thank goodness I got my flu shot...it has worked for me for the last three years..knocking on wood~my head ;o)...). I also hope that things straighten out with her cycle.

Good luck to all of you!
