Painful labia

From: Elena (anonymous@obgyn.net)

I am 21 years old and my outer labia have always been of equal size until 9 months ago when one side developed a large, relatively hard but moveable, lump. It is now several times the size of the other labia. There is no redness or other external signs apart from the size change. It is consistently painful (feeling bruised and tender) and is making sexual intercourse very painful, which is affecting my relationship. I also find wearing tight clothing uncomfortable, and even crossing my legs is difficult since these changes. Is this abnormal, and even if it is not, is there anything that can be done to relieve this uncomfortable condition. Thanking you in advance for your help
