Re: Could I possibly be infertile?-to Alexis!!From: Justine (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 16 Jan 2001 10:58:56 -0600 (CST)
This sounds like me at 18 except my mom didn't have endometriosis, and my periods were very irregular. I do not ovulate and therefore am infertile. And of course that is a possibility but you have time to explore. When I was 18 I wanted to know also if I would ever have kids. I am now 26yrs old and have been tryin to get pregnant since I was 16(yes i know that was young). I understand your frustration and even though everyone is going to tell you to relax your so young, you have a need to know, and you have a right to know!! Do not let anyone tell you that you must wait or that its nothing unless they have proof that its nothing. I was told years ago that I would not ovulate without the help of medication and that I should wait until I am ready to have a baby to find out if I will have any further problems. I understand some of that BUT I did not want to WAIT until I was ready to have a baby to find out that I couldn't. Do you have any other symptons besides irregular periods? FYI...just because you have cysts doesn't make you infertile and just because your period isn't regular doesn't make you infertile thats why I ask if you have any other symptoms. Let me know, I am not a doctor but I will help you find answers if you would like!!
