You will have a tiny incision in your belly button, and maybe 1 or 2 tiny incisions on your lower abdomen, just above your hairline. Recovery usually means resting on the sofa a day or so, a bit of tummy soreness, and maybe some vaginal spotting. I have had several laps, the main problem I really ever had was the gas. With the laprascope they insert carbon dioxide gas into your abdomen. It is safe and harmless, but helps push your abdominal organs away from your female organs. Most of the gas is removed at the finish of surgery, any left is absorbed by the body. Sometimes this caues some shoulder pain 2-3 days after surgery as the gas pushes up on the diaphram. Best thing is walking around the house, drink warm fluids instead of cold, and stay away from ice chips. When I have had laps done, I would usually have on Friday and go back to work Monday. Hope this helps, and if more help needed, write agian
