i have just recieved a second repeat blood test for my Progesterone and Prolactin which shows that my prolactin is still high and that my progesterone is very low and that i had not ovulated in my latest cycle . I had my blood tests taken seven days after my first LH surge. My previous blood results showed a very high prolactin and a Progesterone level not quite within normal range but these latest results show that even though my prolactin is still high, it is not as high as previously.

My Doctor is going to refer me to the Fertility Specialist since my partner and myself have been ttc for several months without success.

WHat treatment could i possibly expect to be given to reduce my Prolactin and stimulate Ovulation? What is the success of this treatment?

My periods are very irregular, which i guess if i am having anovulatory cycles would be a contributing factor?

My other concern is though, that my last cycle, i had one LH Surge, then i had two more positive surges three days later, but my period did not arrive until 21 days after my last LH Surge. Could it also mean that i had a false positive and had my bloods taken too early and that i could of ovulated a week later than anticipated? My FSH, LH, Thyroid Levels, Immunity to Rubella and Measles is normal. My partner's Sperm sample is fine.

My menstrual cycle used to be every five weeks even when i was a teenager. I have found that since we have been ttc they appear more erratic. Prior, they used to be within 35-40 days. I have noticed since i have started to chart my menstrual cycle that they are 8 weeks, 6 weeks, and 5.5 weeks, so i just don't know when the best time is to try and concieve!!!

Finally i experience ovarian ache when i think i am about to ovulate, it lasts for about five days then stops, then it starts again about 5 days before my period is due,and stops as soon as i have a period, is this any cause for concern?

Thanks! I have been pregnant before but had an abortion at 11 weeks when i was a teenager.
