The man does NOT have to have an orgasm in order for pregnancy to take place. It doesn't matter who has an orgasm first, or even if one takes place (at least in terms of pregnancy). Pregnancy can occur whenever there is contact between the vagina and penis.

I don't know how long you have been trying to conceive, but if you have been trying for a year with unprotected sex, and pregnancy has not occurred, you may want to contact your Dr. for his advice.

Good luck.
