Fibroids occur in about 25% of American women, and they typically form in early reproductive life, though they can develope later, and they may well continue to grow with time, producing more problems later rather than earlier. Anyway, lots of young women have them, with all the problems of bleeding, pain, infertility that anyone with fibroids can have, though most women, young or old, with fibroids have little to no symptoms.
