Daniel Braun, MD: "Re: My vaginal discharge has become very strange- help!" Okay, first of all, I'm a virgin. I also am still eating the same way I have been for the past 5 years. I would rather not go to see an OBGYN if I don't have to, but if I get some advice to go, I will. But please tell me all you know before you suggest seeing one. Recently, like in the past month or so, my discharge has had a strange odor to it. It has also changed from thick and cloudy (which is the way it has been since I started menstruating almost 7 years ago - except right after my period, when it becomes clear and thin) to clear and thin and in very large amounts. I have also have strange abdominal pains that feel a lot like menstrual cramps, except the aren't cramps, just dull pain. The odor is very strong, and I can smell it even when fully dressed with my my legs crossed (as you can imagine, it's very embarrassing - I'm afraid others can smell it). It's a sickening odor, and I have been getting nauseated when I am sitting down. One more thing - my father's mother died of ovarian cancer; what is the likelihood that I will ever contract the disease? Please let me know ASAP! Thank you! Next message: Kiki: "Re: pregnancy?"
