Thank you for your reply. O.K. so if this is not necessarily an infection then what is it? A disease? A STD? There are extenuating circumstances that led us to go to a Pediatric GYN to begin with. There are some concern s if sexual abuse that are being investigated at this time. I know that based on the research done on ureaplasma that there is not alot known, especially in young childern. I have also been told that ureaplasma can be present and not be from sexual contact but that they do not know how it happens. Of course my child is not saying anything and all other test came back negative as suspected. I am trying to investigate, if you will, ureaplasma on my own to possibly determine the outcome of our delima. Also, at the time of our doctors visit he said she had bacterial vaginosis which I understand to possibly just be a ofbalance of PH in females and commen. But, that the two (ureaplasma and baterial vaginosis) can go together but do not have to go together. If you know of any research or someone I can talk with to get more information on ureaplasma I would be most appreciative as this will help me to determine what my daughter is not going to let me know on her own, nor has she let any of the forensic investigators know. And once again thank you for your consideration in this matter.
