Hi, I'm 26 and have been suffering from the sam symptoms as Jule. Everything that she has described, I have been feeling as well. I went to my Family Dr. a few times to complain about my symptoms and I was told that I had gas and that my irregular bowl movements were from not eating properly. All togther it finally took my dr. 3 years to realize that the pain I was feeling was more than just gas and too finaly have an ultrasound done to find out where the pain was coming from. As the Ultrasound proved an ovarian cyst being 3.6 cm in diameter, I was put on birth control to see if the cyst could be disolved. It has been 4 months now and I have had another ultrasound. That ultraound has showed that my cyst has now gotten bigger (4.3 cm). I was then referred to a specailist who said that I will beneeding surgery to have the cyst removed and possbily my ovary as well. My questions is, will I really need surgery. Is there anything else I can try or do to see if I can get away with no surgery. I am just recently married and would like to start a faimly as soon as possible, but when I heard I may need to remove an ovary I was very upset. Not really being told what may happen in the future. If anyone has gone through the same, please advise as I am not looking forward to surgery.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Jan.
