Your patience is appreciated in this matter: In Dec of 1999 I went to my pc for abdominal pain and got a routine pelvic. I was diagnosed with hgsil. I was then referred to a obstetrician/surgeon. He said he would have to treat my hgsil before he could treat my abdominal pain. I had the leep,colpo,ecc, etc. With this same doctor I frequently complained of my pelvic and leg region from hurting and was limping from it. He still insisted I wait until he took care of the hgsil.(he said it was probably because my underwear was too tight around my leg). Keep in mind all of the visits I had considering the biopsies and all. I complained each time. He referred me to an oncologist who did an ecc that came up negative for dysplasia with inflammed glandular cells favoring a reactive proc. After 1 month of waiting for those results, my pain, abdominal, became worse and could no longer stand for any period of time. I made an appointment anyway to this original obstetrician/surgeon and he finally did something. So, from 1/1/00-9/1/00 I was in pain. He scheduled a diagnostic lap for the same month (sept). I had lab work done to rule out pregnancy and it came out negative, so I'm told. I had the lap and hysteroscopy done. Diagnosis adhesions. I suffered abdominal pain on my right side after the surgery and bled. I called the doc and the nurse told me he said,"you had abdominal pain before the surgery, and this was only a diagnostic procedure and the bleeding was normal.(It actually was heavy)I couldn't walk at all up until the post op visit with the doctor.(Because I was on pain medication too). At the visit I told him I was still bleeding. He said,"your sutures look good and this is normal." He said to wait 2 more weeks for the bleeding to stop and come back if it hasn't. I eventually went to work parttime during this and ended up coming home on Oct 10 early from extremely heavy bleeding that went through my clothes. The pain got more severe to the point I could not walk. Unfortunately, I was at my mother-in-laws when the bad part happened. after 30 min of trying to contact the doc I spoke with him and he said, have you had sex, I said yes a few days ago, he said my husband reinfected me again.(I forgot to mention, the doc diagnosed me for pid before a culture). I said I'm in great pain and am bleeding alot and cannot walk. He told me to call my pc that he would have to help me as far as going to the er. That really hurt, I thought I was dying. My pc was very upset. Anyway,(sorry), I spoke with the doc on the phone in er,after preg results were pos, he said they can't find the sac, leave the hospital and readmitt myself to er in 2 days, tell them "I" sent you.(obgyn) To see if the hormone levels,(you know).I went back,(dont know why I didnt stay, I earned it),was admitted ,the doc called every 15 minutes from or, still no tests completed, I finally had the darn surgery for the adhesions and ectopic.I was in surgery for 4 hours. I went to my post op and he said,"sutures are good, go get an hsg in 6 wks." I waited a month and took a preg test myself, called him, went in, residual hormone, and had my hsg done last week, it hurt. Should I change docs? Promise, never again, a long one I mean. Mary
