Many obstetricians recommend waiting til the second trimester, after organ formation (if safe to wait from a dental perspective). At this time, any anesthesia (local or local and/or inhalation and/or IV sedation) should be safer. Discuss this with both your OB and your dental specialist. In fact, have them talk to each other.
